This grand atypical space is a perfect backdrop for a variety of events. From  cocktail receptions, concerts, and parties to trade shows and corporate presentations, this  distinctive area presents many opportunities for creative experiences. Boasting high ceilings with angled and rounded walls, this unique gathering space with its illustrious ramp in the centre of the action leading to the lower level is a showstopper and conversation starter in its own right.

Auditorium

These renovations will fully restore the functionality of the Auditorium and allow us to develop new relationships that will support all forms of the arts in Calgary.

Bow View Hall

Capacity: 100 standing, 40 seated

A gathering place outside of the Dome that overlooks the scenic Bow River. Boasting unique curved walls featuring current exhibitions this is a great reception or networking area. If your event requires a registration corner or activation stations, this is a great option as an add on to the dome or a larger collective as well.

Dome

Capacity: 218 seated

This is the ultimate, most exclusive event experience available in Calgary. The Centennial Planetarium, with its domed ceiling and seating for 218, has technology allowing it to be used as a full projection screen and grants our guests the opportunity to curate a customized event like no other. The theatre seating and aisles create prospective interaction among guests and presenters in the walkways and on stage. The Dome is ideal for panel discussions, talks, performances, product launches, film screenings, digital art shows, awards or graduation ceremonies, and any other event that requires seating with this type of capacity. This space has an otherwise unattainable wow factor that is sure to resonate with your audience. Rental of this space includes use of the Bow View Hall.

Grotto

This large room is a unique and hidden treasure in Calgary. Being a round space, everyone will feel like they are front and centre and no one will miss out on a thing. The Grotto boasts direct access to an outdoor space perfect for a summer evening, as well as a built-in breakout space that can be utilized for a stage, photo booth, or anything your imagination comes up with. Book this space for a gala, wedding, cocktail reception, or dinner. It can accommodate many different ideas, so let’s explore your event plans and see how we can incorporate them into this extraordinary room.

Observatory

Originally used as an observatory deck to gaze at the stars, the observatory is currently undergoing a transformation into an interactive gallery space that will be available for small intimate gatherings in the future.

Workshop

Capacity: 168 standing, 109 seated

Perfect for those looking for a space with a bit of personality and lots of room to get creative. The Workshop is a great space for anything from paint nights and performance pieces, to cocktail receptions or Stampede Parties. With access to outdoor function spaces and direct access from the parking lot, this is a great space for a private event!
