VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Fundraising Volunteers
Training Dates: March–April 2026
Volunteer Term: May 2026–May 2027 (approximately one shift per month)
Join Contemporary Calgary’s Volunteer Program and make a direct, meaningful impact on the gallery’s ability to deliver exhibitions, public programs, and community initiatives. Fundraising Volunteers play an essential role in sustaining and growing the support that makes our work possible. This opportunity is ideal for individuals passionate about contemporary art and/or interested in gaining hands-on experience in the non-profit and charitable sector.
What will your role involve?
As a Fundraising Volunteer, you will work closely with the Development Department to support a range of fundraising initiatives that directly contribute to the gallery’s operations and future growth. By engaging visitors in conversations about Contemporary Calgary’s exhibitions, programming, and vision, you will help build lasting relationships with audiences, guide visitors through the donation process, and answer questions about the gallery’s donor programs. Your interactions will have a tangible impact on the gallery’s capacity to offer accessible, high-quality programming.
What are the requirements?
Volunteers are asked to commit to a minimum of one shift per month between May 2026 and May 2027. Volunteer opportunities may include a mix of event-based and administrative support. This includes assisting with raffle ticket sales during Free First Thursday events, which are held on the first Thursday of each month from 5-9 PM. Volunteers will also have the opportunity to take part in LOOK, Contemporary Calgary’s biggest fundraising event of the year.
If you are interested in volunteering, please submit your expression of interest by March 3rd, 2026.
