Join us for Free First Thursday at Contemporary Calgary, celebrating the opening of Obsession, an exhibition presented in partnership with Ninetimes.
Obsession brings together more than 250 rare skateboards from the 1980s, 1990s and early 2000s, exploring skateboarding culture through graphic design, collecting and nostalgia. The collection belongs to Kevin Lowry, whose lifelong fascination with skateboarding and skateboard graphics has grown into an extensive collection featuring boards from iconic brands and influential artists.
For one night, the exhibition becomes a meeting point for art, skate culture, music and Calgary’s skate community.
